Myrna Charry

Myrna Charry’s black and white film photographs are in the surreal tradition—they do not tell stories, are not didactic, or are they conventionally pretty. Her work includes solarized and montage prints created in the darkroom, double exposures created through the lens, and collages and hand tinted prints created in her studio.

Myrna Charry was born in NYC and currently divides her time between NY and Florida. She has a degree in photography, has had more than 20 solo exhibitions, participated in more than 40 juried group shows and has taught photography in NYC, Florida and England.
